Have you ever met someone once and instantly connected? Has this ever happened to you over Slack? Well, I can now say that it’s happened to me.

In true #startup fashion, one Saturday morning’s webinar birthed a private Slack group to “keep the conversation going” the following Saturday morning. If I had a Slack group for every webinar I participated in… oh wait! I do! 🙄

But I shouldn’t complain because what happened next was awesome…

Ali Adkins, ladyboss and all-around-badass also joined the Slack group and sent me a DM. Ali is the founder of Encounter, a catfish-proof dating app but this might not be the most impressive thing about her.

Ali is also the lead vocalist and band leader of Ali A And The Agency, where she writes and performs a fantastic set of body positive, H-O-T-T, funky rock songs.

And today, I’m thrilled to announce the release of her latest video. Watch Ali A And The Agency perform Rihanna’s “Sex With Me” below.

Please share this post so others can learn about thing song and other contenders for this summer’s bopo anthem, including Ali’s “Big Booty Love”.

Whether Ali hits the big time for her musical skills or because Encounter makes online dating fun again remains to be seen. But one thing is for sure: Ali Adkins is a Fat-Mogul-in-the-Making.

P. S. – The webinar responsible for this connection was hosted by Backstage Capital’s estimable founder Arlan Hamilton and her equally-impressive investment partner Christie Pitts.
